If we have to make a list of the best beaches in México we will definitely have to add some from Puerto Vallarta. So today in this post we are going to talk about the best 5 beaches of Puerto Vallarta.
It is a true hidden treasure between the mountains; it’s a small beach located 17 kilometers away from Puerto Vallarta, on the West side of Boca de Tomatlán. Its water has a turquoise green that makes this place very special. Besides, it has a small creek tha falls into the ocean. It is just a dreamed beach. To get there you can take a water taxi for about 5 minutes ride or do a spectacular trekking all the way walking through the nature.
Something important to know, is that this beach has no public WC neither restaurants or bars, so you should bring all you need.
Its clear and warm water plus its location near downtown, make this beach one of the best in Puerto Vallarta. Conchas Chinas it is known for being a quiet beach, its rock formations, white sand and the colour of the water. This beach is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the amazing sunset.

Playa Los Muertos

The beach owes its name to its small size, Mismaloya in the náhuatl language means the place to capture fishes with the hands. Mismaloya became very popular because it was the place chosen to make the film La noche de la iguana cast by Richard Burton and Liz Taylor.
One of its best atractions is that in front of Mismaloya it is located the Maritim Park Los Arcos, an excellent spot for scuba diving.
It’s a little fishing town full of magic, located on the south of Puerto Vallarta. The only way to get there is by boat or water taxi. Barco Hundido Princesa Vallarta
For all the scuba divers that looks for an adventure this sunken ship is a great option. The Princesa Vallarta is located near the coasts of Mismaloya and is a cruiser that sank in 2017. The maximum depth is about 25 meters what makes this spot perfect for beginners with PADI Certification.
At the same beach, if you go towards the rocks that surrounds the bay you will find really good spots to go underwater with your equipment. The depths are between 40 feet and 100 feet. Here you can find colourful nudibranchs, big lobsters and crabs.
This beach is located on the south of Bahía Banderas. It is a highly recommended place to scuba dive beacuse no matter the weather conditions it always has really good visibility.
